Jewellery Repair Tracking Software for Shopify: An Honest Comparison (2026)
You run your jewellery shop on Shopify and want repairs off the paper ticket book. This page compares the realistic ways to do that, what each costs, and what each one does not do, including the app we make.
Disclosure: RepairDesk for Shopify is built by JMS Dev Lab, the publisher of this page. Details about other products come from their public websites and our earlier guides, and RepairDesk details from its Shopify App Store listing, checked on 12 October 2026. Check each vendor’s own page before buying.
Short answer: if Shopify is already your till and you only need repairs tracked, a repair app inside Shopify is the smallest change: RepairDesk (ours) costs from $9.99/month after a 14-day trial, with no free plan. Replacing the whole shop system points to Jewel360 or The Edge; a repair-only business may prefer RepairDesk POS (repairdesk.co, unrelated).
If you do only a few repairs a week, Shopify draft orders and tags may be enough. The details, prices and limits of each option are below.
What repair tracking needs to do at a jeweller’s counter
- A ticket per job with the piece’s details (metal, stones, size) and photos taken at intake, so condition disputes can be settled.
- A quote the customer can approve, and a deposit or balance taken against the job.
- Status updates to the customer, so the bench is not interrupted by “is it ready?” calls.
- A list of what is in the workshop, what is waiting on parts and what is overdue.
1. RepairDesk for Shopify (ours)
What it is: repair management for jewellers, watchmakers and repair counters. You book a repair in from the Shopify admin or from the New Repair tile in Shopify POS, with jewellery fields (metal, stone, size, carat) and photos. It sends quotes for online approval, takes deposits and balances, and updates customers by email or SMS. Each customer gets their own tracking page, and you manage repair parts in the same place.
Price: Starter $9.99, Professional $19.99, Business $29.99 a month (USD), or yearly at $99.99, $199.99 and $299.99. 14-day free trial. No free plan.
Shopify: works with the Shopify admin and Shopify POS, and can look up your existing Shopify customers. It does not need Shopify: it also runs as a standalone web account, with sign-up at repairdeskapp.net.
What it does not do:
- It is not a POS or a retail stock system. Sales still go through Shopify (or your own till), and it tracks repair parts, not your shop inventory.
- Text messages need a carrier registration before they can be sent, and the carriers’ review can take a while. Email updates work in the meantime.
- It is new. On 12 October 2026 its Shopify listing had two reviews, so there is less public track record to go on than with the established systems below.

2. RepairDesk POS (repairdesk.co)
What it is: a full point-of-sale and shop-management system for repair businesses, built mainly around phone and computer repair. It is made by a different company and has no connection to us, despite the shared name.
Shopify: its Shopify integration syncs products, variants, inventory and customers between its POS and your Shopify store. Its integration page says variant support needs its Advance plan.
Price: published plans from $99 a month (Essential) and $149 (Growth) when we last checked.
Choose it if repairs are your whole business and you want one system for the till, tickets and stock. The limit: for a jeweller whose repairs are one service line, it means a second POS alongside Shopify.
3. Jewel360
What it is: an all-in-one cloud POS for jewellery stores, covering inventory, repairs and custom work through job templates, customer notifications and marketing. It offers two-way Shopify sync.
Price: not published. You request a demo or quote, and there is a set-up fee.
Choose it if you want to replace your whole shop system, not just the repair book. The limit: it is a separate system syncing with Shopify, and the price is not public. Our Jewel360 guide has more detail.
4. The Edge (Abbott Jewelry Systems)
What it is: a long-established jewellery POS and inventory system, usually installed on Windows computers in the shop. Its repair tracking includes printed barcoded envelopes, job status and text notifications.
Price: sold as a licence, listed from roughly $4,600 for a single store, plus hardware; a cloud subscription has also been listed.
Choose it if you run a busy bricks-and-mortar counter and want everything in one long-proven system. The limit: it runs alongside Shopify rather than inside it. Our guide to The Edge has more detail.
5. Shopify on its own: draft orders, notes and tags
What it is: no extra software. Create a draft order or an order per repair, put the job details in the note, and use tags for status (received, at the bench, ready).
Price: nothing beyond your Shopify plan.
The limit: no intake photos on the job, no customer tracking page, no quote approval and no automatic ready-to-collect messages. Fine for a few repairs a week; it gets hard to see what is overdue as volume grows.
6. The paper ticket book
Free, familiar and fast at the counter. Its costs are the status calls, the condition disputes without photos, the lost docket, and no record of what the repair counter earns. Our guide to setting up a repair ticket system works whether you use software or not.

- Repairs are the business: RepairDesk POS (repairdesk.co).
- A few repairs a week: Shopify draft orders and tags, or a good paper book, until it starts costing you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best jewellery repair tracking software for a Shopify jeweller?
It depends on what you already run. If Shopify is your till and you only need repairs tracked, a repair app that works inside Shopify, such as RepairDesk (ours, from $9.99 a month), is the smallest change. If you want to replace your whole shop system, a jewellery POS with repair tracking built in, such as Jewel360 or The Edge, does more but costs much more. If repairs are your whole business, RepairDesk POS (repairdesk.co, an unrelated company) is a full repair-shop POS that syncs with Shopify.
Does RepairDesk need Shopify?
No. RepairDesk works as a Shopify app (Shopify admin and Shopify POS) or as a standalone web account with sign-up at repairdeskapp.net. The Shopify features, such as the POS tiles and Shopify customer lookup, need Shopify.
Is there a free plan for RepairDesk?
No. RepairDesk has a 14-day free trial, then Starter $9.99, Professional $19.99 or Business $29.99 a month (USD), with annual billing also offered.
Are RepairDesk for Shopify and repairdesk.co the same company?
No. RepairDesk for Shopify (apps.shopify.com/repairdesk-2) is made by JMS Dev Lab in Ireland. RepairDesk POS at repairdesk.co is an unrelated company's full point-of-sale system for repair shops.
Can I track repairs in Shopify without an app?
Partly. You can use a draft order or an order note per repair, with tags for the job's status. That costs nothing, but you get no intake photos, no customer tracking page, no quote approval and no automatic ready-to-collect messages, so it suits a shop doing only a few repairs a week.
